Al passed away in Ridge Meadows Hospital after a battle with cancer and Asbestos at 78 years old. He was a very stoic man who lived with his beloved wife Patricia (Pat), in their home, for over 50 years in Maple Ridge. Members for most of that time at the Maple Ridge Legion, Branch #88.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
