Obituary of Grover hamilton Campbell
With his wife and daughters by his side, Grover Campbell passed away at 7:44am Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 after a long courageous battle with heart disease.
Grover was born on August 7th 1932 in Rollo Bay, P.E.I. He lived the last 42 years in Maple Ridge/ Pitt Meadows where him and Liz raised their family. Grover served in the Armed Forces for 12 years prior to having an extremely long and successful career in the Automotive/ RV industry. He loved meeting and helping people and worked right up into his early 80’s.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 52 years, Elizabeth (Liz) Campbell, loving daughters, Heather (Greg) Bodnarchuk, Brenda Campbell (Peter Beza), and Dawn Sparrow (Troy MacMillan). Grandchildren Wade Bodnarchuk (Olivia Machan), Paige (Joe) Evans, Shayla Bodnarchuk, Nakayla and Gavin Beza and treasured 4 month old great grandson Liam Evans.
Grover is also survived by his three sisters, Adeline Ross, Alice MacKenzie, and Isabelle (Harold) Adrian, numerous extended family and countless friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Lera, Three brothers Don, Elwood and Weldon and his special son-in-law, Shayne Sparrow. Special thanks to Dr. Winston Tsui, staff on 3 west at Ridge Meadows Hospital and the amazing nursing staff at McKenney Creek Hospice.
Celebration of life to be held Sunday, May 1st 2016 at Fraser View Village Community Hall at 2:00pm, 22610 B – 116th Avenue, Maple Ridge.
Grover’s devoted wife Liz and family are heartbroken over his passing but we are grateful his suffering is now over and he’s safe in the arms of Jesus.
You will live on in our hearts forever dad. We will miss you more than words can say.
