Arlo was our lettercarrier on 117th Avenue in 1972 when our first child was born. He always had a minute to chat with the new mother when he handed over cards and parcels. I know that Arlo took time with others too because one Christmas he arrived with a candy wreath tied onto his bag – a gift from someone on his walk.
I enjoyed my visits with Arlo in the mall following his retirement. He was a very giving person and I know that he will be missed.
