James Edward Price born December 20, 1930 in Lockhartville, Nova Scotia and died January 3, 2025 in Maple Ridge, B.C.. Jim was raised on a large farm with over 100 apple trees. He was so happy to go to school so not as much farm work. He loved school and was straight A s every year and should have gone to college, but did not have the money. Started working on the docks at 13 and went to sea at 16. Working on the gypsum boats, 5 years later paid off the family mortgage. Realizing there was no future, he joined the RCAF in 1952 and became a flying officer instructor. Met Norma a student nurse in Moose Jaw Sask. , Fell in love and fought hard to win her over. Married in 1955, RCAF ended in 1959. He partnered with Bob Pranzl and moved to Port Coquitlam to open a service station. With 3 kids and 1 one the way life was hard. Things got better after Jim joined the 442 Squadron Search and Rescue and Jim stayed with the Oil Company for 37 years and retired in 1997. On retirement Jim did more gardening which he loved to do as he always kept busy. In the trials and tribulations of raising a family and keeping his marriage he never gave up. He always said never give up and everything in moderation. He donated to almost every charity. He wanted to put his arms around the world. At the end he said to give to your favorite charity, volunteer, have a glass of beer and tell a couple of jokes. We all miss him Dearly. R.I.P. DAD
