I remember Colin ( james) and Carol as outstanding managers at Norpac marketing in Whalley. I worked there in 1987 and never forgot it. The work environment was the best; it was a six month practical course in sale and marketing. Colin was the best boss I ever had and I am very sorry to see him go. He was a friend as well as a boss. It was such a shock to learn today of Colin’s sudden passing. So many great memories are deeply connected to Boomer and his big beautiful smile being there – from the baseball field to the ball hockey arena, from downtown Vancouver offices that unbelievably were just down the hall from each other, and therefore we also shared West Coast Express time together, to the never forgotten moments watching the band entertain us, including when they played at my 40th Birthday Party.
I can’t believe his beaming smile and the great happiness he always exuded, is now gone.
My deepest condolences to all the family. You were his world and I always felt the incredible love and pride that he showed for his family.

I had the privilege to play in a band with Boomer several years back with Paul Hickey. Playing bass guitar, one must be in the grove and on the same page to provide a supportive rhythm section….Boomer did that and more. Great admirer of his drumming skills and his ability to present an accurate representation of cover songs…a great deal of smiles between Boomer and myself while playing.
Condolences to family, friends, and all that knew him.

Words cannot express the shock and sadness I feel about the passing of my dear Friend, Colin. I had the pleasure and good fortune of working with Colin at CBV for over 10 years. He was the most helpful, sincere, respectful and kindest man who never hesitated to drop what he was doing to lend a helping hand. His smile and selflessness were truly unique and I will miss him dearly. May he continue to make music in your memories and hearts; until you all meet again. To his family and close friends, please accept my deepest and sincere condolences for the loss of such a profound man that you were truly blessed to call your Husband, Dad or Relative. May God comfort all of you with wonderful memories to ease your pain at such a hard time.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Colin for a few years at CBV. He always had such a positive attitude and an infectious smile. He was a role model for so many of us youngsters – and he showed us to have fun and be happy – no matter what. He had such pride and love for his wife and family <3 I remember watching his eyes light up when he shared stories. His love for music is something that permeated his every day life as well… Colin will be deeply missed by so many. My condolences to his family and friends. <3 We were all very lucky to have known such an incredible man. <3

Always willing to drop what he was doing to answer a question, tell a joke, tell me it was time to hang the phone up before I pushed it that little bit too far, you were a true gentlemen and a pleasure to work with every day. I’ve thought about you quite a bit in these last few days, and will continue to do so. you made all your cbv friends smile, and now it’s time to take those skills to the sky. Rest in paradise brother.

Was very saddened to hear about Colin’s passing. It was great to share band experiences with Colin and talk about our love of music and the bands that we both grew up with. I’m glad we had the chance to share what we did and I will really miss him going forward. Rock on Colin, you’re joining the legends we both enjoyed so much.

I had the pleasure of working with Colin at CBV for many years when I was getting my feet wet in the Credit industry. Colin was one of the good guys. His smile was contagious, and his sense of humor was a breath of fresh air. He was always willing to drop what he was doing to give you legal advice. All of us from those days at CBV are shocked and saddened by this tragic loss. I send my deepest heartfelt condolences to his wife, children and family. Please know that you are all in our thoughts. I was so very saddened to hear of Colin’s sudden passing.
I knew Colin to be a hard working, dependable and kind hearted family man. He was always quick with a compliment or kind word and had a knack for making others feel good about themselves. Colin was a natural story teller and his favourite stories were always about his family. He often spoke of you Carol with such love and respect… it was easy to see how deeply he loved you. Dylan and Chaylene, I hope you find comfort in knowing that your Dad had so much pride in the two of you and could never resist singing your praises at every opportunity. He wore his love for all of you on his sleeve and made it easy to see what a close family you are.
My sincere condolences to all of you for your profound loss. I hope the love of family and friends helps carry you through the difficult days ahead . You are in my thoughts.
