An older cousin and fun loving relative. A few conversations but not enough. A good friend of my brother. Was always special when I made the infrequent visits. Wish I made more. rest in peace Jim.

Uncle Jim…what can I say?
That you were always a great uncle?
That you were always fun to be around?
That you could always make me laugh?
That a stern look from you scared me half to death?
That conversation between you and my father were always fun to watch?
All of the above are true, but most importantly, the feeling of family that I got from you, Auntie Marg, Melinda, James and Matt are precious and feelings that I will treasure forever.
I may not have seen you for 20 odd years, but i remember you like it was yesterday.
I’ll miss you, and my whole heart goes out to Marg and Melinda to have strength and carry on.
Sending you all lots of love from the Middle East

Relations..Friends…
Doctors,Nurses,Caregivers who attended to my brother Jim ….with special thanks to all of you.
Jim was special to me..we had many GOOD times together…..Every year…..we were the same age …19 days apart…he was born 1939…I was born 1940….So AT THOSE TIMES..I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD NOT SHINE HIS SHOES ,MAKE HIS BED ,DO HIS DISHES.OR PRESS HIS PANTS…for 19 days were same the age no longer my BIG
BROTHER..
We especially would go to field on government property..get under the fences..and look for gophers..we were looking for the holes….and we would lie down on the ground and he would instruct me to say not one word…. and we would wait for the gopher to poke his head off the hole.
One time.I heard scathing in my closet…called my mother to come upstairs..and Jim had collected a few field mice and hid them in a box. Another time JIM threw a bunch of garter snakes…and i screamed … the neighours heard a block away.
Jim and I got to go to the movies…,made snow forts…both Jim and I got broken arms in that summer…and we went to same schools.
Jim was my protector…he watched over me…told me to girls to see…what boys to see or not see. That one year made of difference…I took me to my first canteen and last canteen…He tried new dance steps on me…before he tried Marg.
Jim would say “Sis,one day above ground…..tis a good a day”
Jim would say this…”.Brother..it sure see your two sons’your Mother and Father.see your brothers,Gramps &Gramma..Aunts &Uncles…counsins ,friends .You are HOME and we will
,surly follow. When I get there…please Greet me with the MURRAY Tarton.
We will miss you….Keep in our prayers.

Our deepest condolences. What a wonderful thing families are. At times like this the family is so much more important than ever. Jim was a fighter and a wonderful person that we had the good fortune of knowing. May he rest in peace.
