Obituary of Yda Murielle Kapusta

BORN: July 10, 1916 – July 2, 2011 Yda passed away on the morning of July 2, 2011 at the age of 95 years. Yda was born on July 10, 1916 in Burham Sutton, Norfolk, England and at age 10 moved to Canada with her family. First living in Agassiz, B.C., then Duncan, B.C. and finally settling in Vancouver, B.C. , Yda was predeceased by her parents, Harry John and Yda Ethel Rose Ellis, older brother Eddy, and younger sister Yvonne. She is survived by two sisters, Freda Inglis of Victoria, B.C. , Mignnone Fabbro of Coquitilam, B.C. and sister-in-law Molly Ellis of Vancouver. Also survived by, her son Anthony Joseph Kapusta, daughter-in-law, Vivian; daughter Mignonne Wood of Burnaby, son-in-law, Ted Wood; her two grandchildren: David and Joy Kapusta. Yda was known as “Auntie Sis” to her many nieces and nephews. A special word of appreciation to the nurses and staff of St. Michael’s Centre, Burnaby for their care and compassion. Family and friends will gather for a private Celebration of Life.
