I learned of Jeannie’s passing today when her birthday popped up on FB and I thought it’d been a while. My world is a little sadder and the colours are just a little bit dimmer. Although it’s been years, I can still hear her laughter and see the sparkle in her eyes. Jeannie was an amazing person that brought life and humour and a true sense of goodness to those around her. I feel very honoured to say that she was my friend. Forever alive in my memories.

I just learned today of Jean’s passing. She was such an empathetic person that it wa easy to work closely as a team-mate. And her skills as a facilitator and teacher were outstanding. But mostly, she was a caring friend and colleague. I hope it brings you comfort to know that her grace and kindness made a difference in the lives of all those she met.

Jean Douglas was a colleague and fellow HR professional I have known for 15 plus years, most recently when we served on the Board of the Certified Management Consultants of BC. I just got the news of her passing tonight from mutual friends and colleagues in the HR community and am very saddened. My deepest condolences to Jean’s family and friends. She had talked to me of her happiness on becoming a grandmother. I know she will live on our memories.

I knew Jean through her involvement with the Certified Management Consultants of BC. Jean was our volunteer secretary. She was a wonderful person. Diligent at her work, a respected management consultant and generous with her time and warmth. Her friends at CMC-BC extend our condolences to Jean’s family, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow.

My deepest sympathy to the family of “Jeanie” as we use to call her in Renfrew Collegiate when we were in High School. Jeanie and I started high school the same year and knew each other . I left Renfrew in my teens and went on into Psychology studies also. I lost contact in my travels in life with Jeanie and others. But I will always remember this tiny little person with a smile and laugh and lots of energy and exuberance for life. A genuine carrying person. I am sad that she had to suffer through cancer. My heartfelt condolences to all her loved ones.

My deepest heart felt condolences to the Family of my Dear Friend Jean
Jean and I met while we both attended and worked at The Medicine Wheel in Mission.
We were very respectful and caring of each other.
We also were board members together in Mapleridge
Jean and I were in contact only a little during her sickness
It was her saying, she needed time to deal with her issues
That both her and I were Dear and always in each others heart
That I needed to give her that space, so I did
We did email, text and phone each other from time to time
I was able to take her to the Medicine Wheel one day
Where we performed Healing Spiritual work with her
Our Spirits were kindred for sure
I pray her Spirit goes directly to Heaven with God Our Creator
I pray for her Family and Friends to Heal through the loss of her going home
I am saddened at not being able to come hug her again while I am on Mother Earth
I am encouraged in the belief that Our Spirits will be together again in heaven
Also in the belief that her Spirit will come visit myself and others, from time to time
My Love of Jean was as a Dear Sister and Friend
I will include Jean , Family and Friends in Cultural and Spiritual Ceremonies
Bless each of you. Jean was a wonderful loving caring worthy Lifegiver Leader
To say she will be missed and always in Our Hearts, is to say the truth
Praise Creator for all Jean was and all she accomplished during her stay on Mother Earth
Walk Softly Jean, Walk Softly
Please alert myself as to ceremonies that I can attend for my Friend Jean

Jeannie and I worked together , played together, laughed and cried together…she stood in my wedding and married my brother therefore became my sister-in-law…. Laverne and she named a cow after our family name DOUGLAS out on the farm which many friends gathered from time to time.. We would dance and danced through many moons …. Jeannie loved to read morning , noon and night taking her into the books that laid beside her one after another. She loved life and the many people that she touched with her soul.. Jamie you were a wonderful son to your mom taking such great care of her through her painful last couple of years….Now she is looking down surrounded by the stars keeping an eye on her loved ones,,she is at peace from within. Rest In Peace dear one.

I am so saddened to read of Jean’s passing. I am sorry for your loss – I feel blessed to have had her in my life.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jean about 6 years ago. Jean was brilliant – she taught me so much about Employee Engagement. Jean was so generous with her knowledge and time. I loved working with her, I was proud she was part of our team. The most amazing part of working with Jean was that we did not met in person until 2-3 years into the relationship! When we did it was like old friends catching up.
I shall miss her – she was a brilliant force, true to her values, considerate, thoughtful, open minded, delightful in her love of learning and helping others.

Jean was one of the kindest, most caring individuals I have ever met. We worked together at Mercer Human Resource Consulting many years ago where her professionalism and knowledge were highly valued. But most of all, we valued her insights and thoughtfulness. Jean made us better people. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Sam

I was so sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Jean’s family and friends. I hope that cherished memories will help comfort them and ease their sorrow at this difficult time.
I worked with Jean at Hewitt Associates and was lucky to be a recipient of her kindness and generosity. In my desk at work, I still have a few whimsical stickers that she gave me. Jean’s spirit will continue to soar in the hearts of the many people whose lives she touched.

James, Susan, Gavyn, Kyla and family:
I am so sorry for your great loss.
Your Mom and Grandmom was one of the kindest colleagues of all time. She spoke often and very lovingly of you! Not only was she smart but she was so pleasant to work with. Jean always made time for anyone in need. When she worked at Mercer she laughed a lot and made work fun! I will miss Jean and her awesome smile/laugh but I will never forget Jean AND to find fun in hard work!
