August 18, 1925 – March 3, 2019 Alex Herman was born August 18th, 1925 and passed away peacefully on March 3rd , 2019 in Burnaby, B.C. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends. Alex is survived by: Daughters Doreen Regnier, Audrey Herman, Bernice Herman, Marilyn (Mark) Lyon, and Sons; Larry (Urte) Herman, Allan (Tammy) Herman, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers; George (Phyllis) Herman, Nick (Marie) Herman, and sister; Madeline Boser. Through his work in the construction industry, he worked and lived in many provinces finally settling in Ft. McMurray and then in the Camrose area. Alex will be remembered for his love of fixing and building things. He especially loved birds and was known as “The Bird Man of Camrose” for the beautifully hand painted bird ornaments he made and sold at local markets. After the passing of his wife Mary Herman he relocated to Kelowna, B.C. where he married Johanna Bratt who predeceased him in 2013. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite bird sanctuary would be appreciated to honour Alex’s love of nature and birds. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 9th, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Parish, 22561 121st Avenue, Maple Ridge. Father Matthew To celebrant.
