It is with great sadness that the family of Stanley Balik announce his passing.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend.
Stan was predeceased by his wife, Pearl in 2008. He is survived by his children, Laura (Perry), Cathrine (Robyrt) and Stanley Jr.; and his grandchildren Tyler, Bradley, and Emmaly.
Stan was born in Serednie Male, Poland to his parents Stefan Balik and Emilja (nee Pisarska). He immigrated to Canada in 1951 and eventually settled with his family in Vancouver in 1965.
Stan was an avid gardener and spent over 25 years lovingly caring for the gardens in Vancouver, his last and favorite being Queen Elizabeth Park. Stan will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. A memorial service was held in Maple Ridge, BC at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel.
