To Rosemarie and family,
We had the pleasure of living next door to you and your Mam but unfortunately only for 15 years. She was like a second Irish mammy to me because I was in your house just as much as my own !!! We were broken hearted when you both moved to Canada but were thrilled when you both found happiness in your new home. I was thrilled to get to meet her for the last time a few years ago and we had many hearty laughs reminiscing about days of old. These words are on behalf of our family and especially Mollie who lost a very dear friend . Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.
Love Pat

I worked with Kay on 3 West for a number of years and have fond memories of her. She was kind and feisty. She taught me how to irrigate a plugged TUPPR, a skill that helped me over the years. She will be missed by many. My condolences to her beloved family.

Dear Rosemary,
My sincere sympathy. I will remember Kay fondly. We have had some lengthy phone conversations, especially since Josie’s death. She was always bright and cheerful and never complained, despite her health problems.
She will be sadly missed.
Love to all from Naas.
Bill.

Dear Rose,
Sending you all love from London. I’m proud to be part of the Tipperary legacy and Kay was an amazingly strong, loyal and funny sister and auntie to us here. Kay was tiny but had the courage of a lion. She has left the world a better place with you and your beautiful family keeping the dream going. We’ll toasting her kind heart and good life. Peace and love, Jerry, Mary and Jerome xxx

Dear Family
At any nurses gathering, whether it be the hospital cafeteria or a retirement dinner, you had only to follow the laughter to find Kay Cahill at the center . And she remained that ray of sunshine whenever I bumped into her at the market in Pitt Meadows.
My sympathies to you on the passing of this special lady.

Dear Rose and Family and Mary and family,
My thoughts are with you at this time. Kay will always be remembered with a warm smile. When my husband Doug was a patient, he totally adored her. Hope they are enjoying a wee drink in the hereafter.
Much love to all from me.

To Rose and family
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with your mom for many years at RMH . She was a wonderful , dedicated nurse and loyal friend. Her presence always made the difference between a difficult shift and one that was made more bearable because of Kay”s never ending support and sense of humor. She helped fill our lives with laughter and the ability to cope with difficult, emotional times in our work while helping our patients and their families cope with their losses. I feel honored to have known her.
