To Terry's family and friends: I've just learned of Terry's death. We grew up together. My grandparents lived across the street from Terry's family home. We spent many happy hours quietly playing together - just being kids. We attended the same school, church and community events. When she opened her hair salon in Oxbow, everyone wanted Terry to do their hair. I have pictures of friends who modeled for her in competitions. I lost touch once she moved to Toronto but have often thought of her. My memories of her puts a smile on my face. Rest in peace, Terry.

The first time I met Terry was when she lived in the apartment above me. One day I opened my front door and a big potted plant came crashing down inches in front of me. She came running down and we had a big laugh while she cleaned it up. From then we got to know each other and found out we had so many friends in common. When my Godson was born, for his first Christmas she made me a Mink bunny Christmas stocking. It was so amazing that he almost didn’t get it. I have a four foot Santa that she made. It set proudly in a chair every Christmas. Without her we would had never made our beautiful AIDS Quilt that we made for our friend Tommy. (Terry, May, Martha, Wanda and me) She sewed it all together for us. We had so many great times together. She had the greenest thumb of anyone I know. Her flowers were amazing. Her animals were loved. So sadly miss. My condolences goes to her family. (Her great mom) and her many friends.

My condolences to Terry’s parents and brother and all her family.
I first met Terry in 1983 at the first salon I worked at in Vancouver, “Jitters” as an apprentice. Terry taught me how to roll perms and do hair on class nights. Terry and many of the people from that time became my friends and we had lots of fun times. Years later Terry also worked with a group of us at her farm house to make an “Aids memorial quilt” for our mutual friend Tommy. We had so much fun at her house looking at her chickens and her gorgeous garden as we made the quilt. Terry was a very talented sewer who helped us novices make the quilt into a lovely tribute. I don’t know what I could say to sum up Terry but she was a multi talented, intelligent, kind and very funny lady and I admired her. I’ll remember her with her chickens and flowers and pretty tea cups of course!
Bye Terry, we love you!

Our family is deeply saddened by the news of Terry’s passing. Her always sweet and welcoming personality was only surpassed by her keen sense of humour and love for all that was beautiful and glamorous. Terry always had style! We will forever miss her and the ways that she touched our lives.

So sad to hear of Terry’spassing. She was a beautiful person inside and out with a heart as big as the sky. She was so talented and artistic. I love the pictures she posted on Facebook and regret not talking as much as we should have. Terry touched many lives in a very positive way. Barry and I send our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Uncle Joe, Aunt Betty, cousin Don and Joan and their families
