Gordon James Brown(Downtown Gordie Brown) of Maple Ridge, born August 16, 1948 in Winnipeg, Manitoba; passed peacefully away At Royal Columbian hospital, New Westminster of heart failure January 18, 2015 at 4:48pm surrounded by his children. Preceded in death by parents Alexander James Brown and Mary Louise Josephine Rivard; survived by wife Teresa Brown(Torgerson), daughters Brandee Brown, Leana Brown and son Jesse Brown. His grandchildren Koen Brown-Myren, Ryan Wayner, Tyson Kuisma, James Buckmaster and Sabrina Buckmaster. Sister Patricia Abrahamson, nieces Janice Abrahamson, Sheryl Abrahamson, Tracey Pfeifer(Abrahamson), Hannah-Rose Brearley, nephew Lorne Abrahamson, sister in-law Susan Brearley(Torgerson) and childhood friend Daniel Graham. Gordon’s enormous personality, humor, charm, generosity, humbleness, passion for music,writing and friendly smile will be soley missed but never forgotten. Memorial Service A memorial will be held at The Salvation Army Caring Place Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 2:30pm. The Brown family requests food or cash donations be brought to the Caring Place in lieu of flowers. Contact information:
