As a first cousin to Peter, I am very sad to hear of Helen’s passing. Although it has been was a long since I last saw Helen in Toronto, I will always remember her as a very kind and caring person and her memory will always be with me.

Our Teta Lena,
The youngest of my fathers 4 beautiful sisters has passed, but only in body. she’ll always have a place in our hearts and memories, from the home on St. Clair to the home in Vic Villiage, but especially for the kindness and hospitality that was always prevalent at the cottage on Lake Chemong . Such memories are kindled by the thoughts of wonderful people.
God Bless

Vibrant, forward-thinking, and energetic when we were living in BC at the start of our lives together, Teta Lena (she would not submit to the baba tag with me, her great nephew) will always be dear to our hearts. Teta’s apartment was my base while working in Vancouver in 2002 and it was the launch pad for our (Victoria and my) bicycle trip across Canada together, armed with her famous milechnik and her support for doing such a crazy journey while we had the opportunity to do so. Teta, you have been loved from afar over the ensuing years and we are so lucky to have such wonderful, special memories with you at the start of a relationship that led to marriage and the birth of our two beautiful boys. With love to the family in BC and here in Ontario,
Chris, Victoria, Simon and Sasha
