Helga Susanne Uria (nee Fischer), 76, of Maple Ridge, B.C. passed away into God’s arms at 5:23 pm on October 13th 2014, after a long and courageous battle with Cancer and COPD. Helga is survived by her husband Carlos, son David, sister Eleanor, two grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was a tremendously strong woman with a healthy and happy fighting spirit. Helga’s love was singing and dancing, which she did in the Westcoast Harmony Chorus, she became very accomplished as a valued front row member and she also directed a smaller group of ladies for various functions in her spare time. Helga will be greatly missed by all those who had known and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 from 1- 4 pm at the Maple Ridge Seniors Centre, 12150 224th Street. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation in Helga’s name would be appreciated.
