Obituary of Ronald Evans Moore

May 9, 1943 – Sept 20,2014 Ron passed away peacefully at Royal Columbian Hospital with family by his side. He is survived by his wife Carolyn , daughter Jennifer (Neil); son Darren (Melanie) and granddaughter Leah. His brother Lance in Nanaimo, sister in law Barbara Moore in Claresholm, Alberta; step mother Agnes Moore plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron was born on Noranda, Quebec, but spent his childhood years in Foam Lake, Sask. where he played hockey, football and curled. He then moved to Winnipeg to study science and then dentistry at the University of Manitoba. Ron and Carolyn moved to Maple Ridge in 1968 where he practised dentistry for 29 years. Ron loved to travel, loved history and was a voracious reader. He took up boating, fishing, ultralight flying and farming. In recent years he travelled to Arizona. Ron was predeceased by his father Sydney, his mother Gene and brother Gary. Thank you to Drs Reynolds and Fava and his nurses at Royal Columbian hospital. No funeral by request. A small gathering of family will take place Sunday September 28th from 2-5 at the family home.
