Theresa (Tree) Lois age 44 from Pitt Meadows BC, suddenly taken from us Tuesday July 15, 2014. Theresa was born February 13, 1970 in Surrey BC. A quirky, vibrant strong-willed woman, Tree is survived by her 4 wonderful children Dryw Paulic, Megan Paulic, Rachelle Paulic and Niamh Tamminga-Ritchey. Theresa will also be missed by her family including her 4 brothers Roland, Philip, Patrick and Peter, her 5 sisters Anna, Doris, Christina, Tracey and Angela, stepfather Arnold and her special man Edmund. Theresa will also be sorely missed by her 11 nieces and nephews who are all deeply hurt by the loss.
Theresa was active on social media with her group of friends called the January Moms who, despite being located all over the world were all profoundly affected by Theresa’s love and passing. Theresa was an avid reader who was happiest with a book and a cup of tea on a rainy day. An artist in the making, she tried her hand at many art projects with some success (Ukrainian Easter eggs) and some laughter (paint by numbers/Pictionary). Her nickname ‘Tree’ evolved from her love of the outdoors and her affinity for trees. Her love of nature was most evident during her time working at Rolley Lake where she showed fearlessness in the face of wild animals and wild campers.
Theresa was a beautiful woman who showed and gave her love freely and never left a doubt who was important to her. Her passing has left a massive hole in the lives of the people she left behind but the love and memories of her will last a lifetime. Family and friends would like to thank everyone for their love, support and well wishes.
The family is asking that anyone who so wishes may bring some personal thoughts or memories that they would like to share and help us all remember Theresa for the loving and amazing woman she was. Drop in service will be held Friday July 25, 2014 from 1pm to 3pm at Garden Hill Funeral Home, Maple Ridge BC.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
