Bev and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my old schoolmate Leonard. The years we spent at St Pat’s,seem so long ago.I will always remember Len with fondness, some laughs, and his great smile.Over the years it was nice to see some old school friends, even if it was only at the hospital when your loved ones were admitted.I didn’t seem to see folks other than there. He will always feel your love. Lorraine Lacroix Lukacs

Bev and family and the Pierres
We just found out that Len had passed away and we are sorry for your loss. We first met Len and Bev when Walter and Patrick were in elementary school and Tball. HELLO THERE MY DEAR ONE..
So, today was the day, that the Creator chose to place you in his arms, free of pain and free of suffering.. There is so much i am going to say,, to let the world know that i cared for you.. With all my heart…
I gave my heart and soul for you,, i shared in your struggles, i cried for you every time i made that drive to HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD (Tri City Dialysis).
There was so much things that you asked for , but didn’t get.. You deserved the world.. I recall the drives that we had, the tears that were shared, and the goals and dreams that you made,, back then you were determined to fulfill those dreams.
All the laughter, we shared, and how many times i had to ‘pull off’ to the side of the road to re-group.. That one trip when we were laughing about Jim Adams, i thought for sure, one of us, were going to “sing”.. And to make matters worse, neither of us, had a drum…
I promised you Papa that i would make that one special trip down to HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD to check up on that crazy ol’ white guy.. (Joe)..How many times were shared laughter, and the nurses knew that we had arrived.
WHEN i was younger, i ran away from Cowichan and headed back home… ‘to where’ my heart was..Katzie.. Me and Rich had no where to go.. and you took me under your wing, it was through that action, that i completed High School.. WOW.. WAS THAT A celebration OR WHAT..
The day that i quit working for Katzie.. You were so happy for me,, “good” now you can ENJOY life while your still young.. Live your life, the way you want to now.. You have the freedom to come and go as you please, just like your Mom did..
There is so much more i could talk about, but i will leave that for me… My feelings and emotions are running so high now, anger, frustration, tears, prayers,..
Papa Len, you have ‘reached’ the end of your trail now.. You are going to go on such a beautiful journey now.. Fly with the eagles, and do so with pride and dignity..I still have your blankets that provided you comfort at Dialysis, and i hope that i will be able to keep them as a keepsake…
I will truly miss the laughter, i will miss the tears that we shared, and most of all, i will miss the love you shared with so many.
I promised you that i will look after myself..and Watch over all of us.. God is blessed with with the best. Love you whole bunches.. PS: On Tuesday April 26, 2011, “GOD GAVE US AN ANGEL”..
Coleen Pierre-Sam..

I remember treating Bev at Pitt Meadows Physiotherapy. I am a physiotherapist, and I remember Bev very fondly. Her family was everything to her. I remember her telling stories of her kids sweeping the house, eager to help her too. I am so sorry for your loss, Bev. Thank you for introducing me to some of the culture of the Katzie Nation. You and Len made this a better world.
