I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss Yvonne greatly.
I first met Yvonne at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre. She used to go there with Dolly. I think that was back in ’06. We enjoyed many hours of conversation while in the sauna and doing lengths in the pool, week after week. We became good friends and spent many hours chatting on the phone, dining and hanging out together, and travelling with friends and family to Mexico.
Yvonne was very outgoing and friendly. She made friends everywhere she went. She was uncommonly kind and easy to talk to. She loved her children fiercely and talked about all kinds of aspects of her life openly and honestly. I will miss her stories of the years she spent working at Riverview Hospital. She loved it there and forged many friendships that continued on til the day she died.
I know you kids will miss your mom. I just wanted you to know I loved her, too. I told her that many times, and she loved me, too. She was one of a kind and lived a good life full of many challenges, but her life was rich and interesting, too. RIP, Yvonne. I love you and I will never forget you.
