On September 26, 2013, at the age of 80, Maggie lost her 12 year battle with several chronic illnesses due to complications with pneumonia. Survived by the love of her life, her husband of 50 years, Laszlo Katona, and her children – Karen Stevens, Sandra (Steve) King, Terry (Pat) Hamar, Barry Stewart, Tim Katona, Sherry Martel and Kathy (Rob) McIntosh. Predeceased by her sons, Laszlo William Katona and James “Jimmy” Stewart, her brother, Dennis Stewart and her in-laws, Sandor and Doris Katona, Tony Honti and Lajos Daradics. Lovingly remembered by her brothers and “sisters”, Dave Stewart, Chick and Marilyn Stewart, Allison Stewart, Sam Stewart, Herb and Julie Stewart and Deanie Stewart, and her Hungarian in-laws, Ilona, Juliette, Eva and Frank and their families. Her heart knew and loved each of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church, located at 23500 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge, BC, at 1 pm, on Saturday, October 12, 2013. A celebration of life will immediately follow. You will be forever loved and missed, Maggie.
