She was one of those friends that if we didn’t see each other over the years, when we got together we’d pick up right where we left off like we’d only just saw each other. Just sitting on porch with our glass of wine and sharing our skydiving days and remembered friends. I’m going to miss her.

We are very sad to hear of Deb’s passing. She taught me so much when I was working with her at CP. Terry remembers the canoe trips he took with Debbie and Greg, they had so many laughs. Our sincere condolences and thoughts to Greg.

Debbie and I met in Terrace where we became fast friends. She persuaded me to try skydiving and when I was hesitant to exit the aircraft on my first jump, she “coaxed” me out. We were room mates and moved to Abbotsford in the fall of 1974 where she really excelled in skydiving competitions. She was my maid of honor in 1975 and we both worked for the Federal Government at that time. Once I started my family we lost touch with one another, my loss. I will always remember the great times we had in our 20’s. There was always a twinkle in her eyes and laughter in her voice and a willingness to play a practical joke on someone, usually me. A great lady to soon taken.

It was an great experience knowing Debbie. I learned a lot from her in my active golfing days. I was excited to see her casting in the river one day at the back of the house, something she said she had always wanted to do. What an achiever! She knew what she wanted and kept at it right to the very end. If we could all lead such a full life…

I am so sad for the passing of my good friend and co worker, Deb. She was a joy though she tried to hide it. She had such a kind heart and was always doing something for someone. Lillian Unger called today when she heard the news. She told me how Deb had helped her and Jake thro medical problems. She was always there with a casserole or a pot of soup. She came to my 60th b/day party and quietly put two deer statues in my garden. I didn’t discover them til the next day. That is so like Deb, so kind but quiet about it. She helped my husband improve his golf game with her advise and encouragement. She was the best and I will miss her so much.

I consider it an honor & a treasure to know Debbie. She brought laughter into my life wherever I saw her. Her infectious laugh & smile will always stay with me as who she really was. She was a friend & an inspiration. She never gloried in her skydiving feats nor her golf victories but enjoyed it all as a great ride. With joy I watched her change her career to golf. She truly lived each day to the fullest. May I live so fully. May Gregor be comforted by the memories of their close life together. You did well girl, I am proud of you!
