Deepest sympathy to all of the family….it is never easy saying good-bye to those we love but it is obvious James was well loved and appreciated for who he was. Memories of him and his special qualities will be remembered forever.

Remembering Jim with his loveable smile, heart of gold and most of all his bear hugs that were strong and genuine to get from Jim. It was such a pleasure to have spent the time with Jim and to be captivated as he told me stories of his hikes and pictures and treasures he brought back from the rugged wild forest. I admired Jim and thought ” WOW “. a Mountain Man. I called him the Mountain Man. Lots of Good memories, had fun good times spent with ya Jim will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace ” Mountain Man ” my dear friend.
My condolences to Jim’s family.

Jim was part of our family for many, many years when he was with my daughter, Debra, we had many good times along the way and he was a very unique guy, an original with a huge heart as big as the great outdoors he revelled in. I remember the beautiful panoramas of the mountaintops that most of us would never reach or see…but he did! He had a great love of his family and friends and was a very sensitive guy, he truly cared! It was a pleasure to have spent time with Jim and I hope he has found peace, at last! I’ll always remember his boyish face, his curls, but most of all, his great hugs and smile, when Jim hugged you, you knew it, he meant it! He’ll be missed but let’s savor the good memories and what he meant to all who knew him. He always had a light from within, it’s probably one of those new stars out there, may it never burn out, just shine, shine, shine! He and his parents would be very proud of the meaningful and loving Memorial held in Jim’s memory by Donna, Dan and family, rest in peace, Jim.

The sweetest smile and loving heart
It’s far two soon for us to part
Memories are twirling within my head
The tears I’ve cried lay on my bed
What can I say what can I do
But to trust in God to watch over you.
I thank you cous for all the laughter we have shared.

Jim was a very passionate guy that genuinely cared for others. He was a good listener and gave great hugs. He loved getting as close to the stars and the universe as possible; which is a big reason he enjoyed camping and hiking to the highest peaks to pitch his tent and be one with the world. Jim was with my sister Debra for a very long time (since they were teenagers) before they ended up parting ways. Jim loved good old rock ‘n’ roll music CCR, Guess Who, Doors, Lynyrd Skynard and those types of songs that had a deeper meaning. Music made Jim happy and a song that especially comes to mind is “Freebird”.
Thinking of you & sending you love… as you explore a place that is even closer to the universe. Love, Carmen xo
