Jim is survived by his Sister Donna (Jim) van Veen, Maple Ridge; brother Dan (Leanne), Maple Ridge; nieces Keloran and Chelan; Nephews Jody, Jeremy, Nolan, Brennan, and Dawson. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated (www.cmha.ca). Expressions of sympathy can be made at www.gardenhill.ca . Jim was a loving brother, son, grandson, uncle & friend to all. He loved his family and was the primary care person for his Dad before he passed away. Jim loved the outdoors, hiking, climbing, cycling, astronomy, gardening, hockey, and anything to do with the natural world. He left us many amazing photo vistas of his climbs high above the mountain treeline. He was an avid reader and loved the library. He volunteered many hours and would offer help to any who needed it. Jim was a ray of sunshine wherever he went, with a heart of gold and a generous spirit. He never let the darkness smother his light. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association
