My sister, Vicky, just let me know of Esther’s passing. Esther & our mother were friends. Although it is some years since I last visted with Esther, I especially remember when as a child my mom and grandmother would take me along on visits to her home in Webster’s Corner. I have always felt a great deal of compassion for Esther, given the challenges she was confronted with as a young woman. My momther would always let me know when they had a visit. I also remember Esther’s mother as a very strong person, who was always inviting, engaging, and warm when we visited all those years ago. My condolences to the family.
