My heartfelt condolence to Johns family. I just heard of John’s passing and I want to say he was a very good man and will be truly missed. John and I did not se much of each other in the last 20 years,we became friends when we worked together, but I will fondly think of him when I use the nickname he gave me. It is one of the pass words we use on the computer. My deepest sympathy to you for your loss, signed Froghair. (Hugh Cameron)

To Iris, kids & grandkids. Our kind, sweet, loving brother’s untimely departure has caused us all great pain. Smile when you remember his fun-loving nature, his zest for life, love of toys, big & small, and especially love for all kids. He has now joined our parents and will be watching over us through the rest of our lives. Call on him anytime – he is closer than ever.
Love Sue, Buzz, Jocelyne & Bob.

I wanted to write a short note about what your Dad meant to me. I don’t know if you’re doing a tribute document or what you have planned but I had to get it out, hope its OK.
When I was a young university student, I met Dan & Mark Dubois who became among my best friends in life. The Dubois family spends allot of time together so I got to meet John, Iris and Bonnie, too. I even lived with the family for about a year while attending BCIT with Mark.
After 5 minutes with John, you knew that he loved his wife Iris with open affection and that he loved his family and that he was there to do what was needed for them, whatever that was. I loved his vibrant energy and positive outlook.
At the time, I thought of John as my ‘away from home’ Dad. After the years have passed I’ve come to think of him more as my first mentor other than my own Dad. When you’re a young lad, you’re a little shaky as you try to find your way. In my first year away from home, his gentle influence just helped me find each small step of confidence. I would not be who I am without those years living close by the Dubois family.
Along with the boys, we had a ton of fun enjoying snowmobiling, watercraft, motorcycling, camping, archery, target practice, mechanics, bodywork and all sorts of other things. We were boys and we had fun. I think its fair to say that John was one of the biggest kids on the planet. Although its been years that I’ve seen him, I bet he had a ton of fun with his grandkids! I honestly picture mothers, aunts and grand mothers shaking their heads in awe!
I heard an expression or a quote a long time ago that has always made me think of John. I may not have it right but it was something like this. Only a few people are truly awake and those that are live in constant amazement. I pictured John when I heard it and I think its true.
All the best, my thoughts are with you and the family,
Aaron

To Mark, Sharon and entire family,
We are very sorry for your irreparable loss.
Even though, we have met Mark’s parents only once at Leanne & Jesse’s wedding, we had the most positive impression for such a lovely, friendly and dancing couple.
Since then,we have kept them in our nice memories.
By the time we knew about John’s passing, we were full of sorrow and sadness.
Through here, we would like to express our deepest sympathy and sincere condololesces to you all.
Plenty of love, and in such a difficult moment, time will be our best ally
Barry & Tomas

To Aunt Iris, Bonnie, Mark and Dan: our deepest sympathies. Words cannot express how we are all feeling at the moment. Uncle John was and always will be the model Uncle, the model Dad, the model Papa, the model Individual that we were all so very lucky to have the privilege to have in our lives. He will be dearly missed but his smile, enthusiasm and love for life will never leave us. Love you all, I know he will carry you through this.
Love Brigitte and Family.
