Obituary of John Marc Dubois

June 4, 1942 – September 6, 2012 John Marc Du Bois of Pitt Meadows, BC passed away suddenly on September 6, 2012 at the age of 70. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Iris; his siblings Sue (Lloyd), Buzz (Lise), Jocelyne (Denis), and Bob (Michelle); his children Bonnie (Tom), Mark (Sharon) and Dan (Debra); his grandchildren Caity, Devon, Jeremy, and Corbin: his extended grandchildren Chis, Leanne (Jessie), Sonya, and Nicole (Doug); his extended great grandchildren Madison and Hudson; and extended family Jeanie; along with many nieces, nephews and great friends. John was born Ontario and raised in Quebec. He moved to Coquitlam, BC in 1966 and quickly started his family. He built 2 family homes and rebuilt one in 2000 when it was destroyed in a fire. His early work, as an engineering consultant, involved many travels around the world. He then worked throughout BC on Projects involving the Forest industry. In 1987, John and his wife created his construction company, JMD Enterprises. John loved life. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family, travelling, and boating. He was active throughout his life in archery, shooting, motorcycling, ATVing, snowmobiling, RCing, dunebuggying, camping, and fishing. He could always be found working on cars and his latest boat. John was always ready with advice and eager to help others. He adored children and could usually be found on the floor playing with their toys. John saw the goodness in everyone and his positive attitude was inspirational to all who met him. John you will be dearly missed, your smile and your gentleness will be remembered forever. Your love, devotion and passion for life will live on in all the lives you touched. Papa we miss you and love you forever. Memorial Service will be held Thursday September 20th at 1:00pm at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel 11765-224th St. Maple Ridge In lieu of flowers or gifts an educational fund/bursary will be established to accept donations, please inquire for details.
