On behalf of the Railvets of Southern Alberta, we would like to pass on our condolences on the passing of Don Deacon. My name is Brian Woods, and I had the pleasure of working with Don in and out of Calgary in the 80’s and 90’s. Don always carried out his duties with complete professionalism, and he was a good guy to work with, and who could forget that laugh of his!! RIP Don

My condolences to Richard and family. I’m Sarah and Don was my best friend over a decade as we lived in the same M. Plaza for years. I’m so sorry to all of you for this sudden loss. He spent hours over the decade plus, sharing about his trips to visit Richard and Diane and his grandsons. I wish I had met you as he made us feel like we new you. He was so proud and love you so much you know.. I wish I could be there over, yet its with a saddened heart Carrie and I were unable to be there. I send so much love to you all, and all family, plus Drayco was his buddy he was always showing me pics. If there is anything I can do from Victoria, where I am please don’t hesitate during this sad time. Can’t imagine what you are going through so words can’t say. I’m sorry, sending love and he was so wonderful. I can’t get off to be there so…….god bless and I wish I could be there to give you all hugs.

Oh my dear people, what a light you’ve lost. What a light we’ve all lost. Don was a wonderful, wonderful person, a kind and loving man, and a devoted father and grandfather. He loved you all so much, and the world is a bit colder now that he’s gone.
All my love, blessings, and sympathies in this time of sorrow.
