Obituary of Donald Clifford Deacon

It is with a saddened heart that Richard Nelson Deacon, the son of Donald Clifford Deacon, enlists the help of this online service to tell the people of the area and of British Columbia / Alberta that his father has passed away suddenly on January 22, 2018 of natural causes. Don leaves to mourn him, his son, Richard Nelson Deacon, Richard’s wife Diane Deacon, and their son’s, Don’s grandsons; Jordan Clifford Deacon and Mitchell James Deacon. Don is predeceased by his father Harry Clifford Deacon, Mother Ruth Deacon Harrison, step father Albert Harrison and sister Ruth Deacon. Don is Survived by his brothers Albert, Chuck (Pat) Bob, George, Lorne (Linda) and his sisters Alice (Randy) Mirasovsky and Marriann (Don) Rivard. And is loved by all his nieces and nephews. Don was born October 10, 1949. He went to school between Wainwright and Edson, Alberta. Don was married to a woman named Cheryl Annas from 1975 – 1993, they had two kids Tara Lee and Richard Nelson. Around 1980 Don started to work with the CN and he worked there as an Engineer for 28 years until he retired. In 2007, after retiring, he moved to Maple Ridge, where he’s lived happily until the event of his passing. In past years Don has proudly volunteered at the One Way Club here in Maple Ridge. He has come to know and care about many people and has also enjoyed them and their friendships. Don was loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.
