I am just now learning of Lorna's passing - and I am so very sad and sorry. Lorna was a member of the National Basketry Organization and attended NBO conferences and workshops. She was an absolute delight and so very helpful - she volunteered for odds and ends that made my work (and the conference) run so smoothly. At the end of one, she gave me a little basket she made out of telephone wire (!) and I have it on my sewing table to hold my little binding clips. I think of her every time I see it, and remember her with great fondness. My heartfelt wishes for peace and consolation to you all.

Dear Laurie, Stephen, Lori (+ kids), & Jordan, I was saddened to learn of Lorna's passing. She was a great lady, full of life and adventure. I will always remember how kind she (and you Laurie) were to me many years ago. I'm so sorry for the loss of your bright light, Lorna. Thinking of you all and sending love. Kathy (Sorenson) Klein.

I began working with V&T in 1988 and that is when I had the good fortune to meet Lorna.
I remember, at one point, Lorna asking Brian and I if we could bring some sand back from one of our visits to a little known island in Hawaii. She wanted to search the sand for microscopic shells! We were happy to oblige, and snuck the sand into our luggage in little baggies ...like contraband ;) We enjoyed being able to fulfil Lorna’s fun request.
Lorna really did live life on her own terms, and with glorious abandon.
I will always remember Lorna’s radiant smile, delightful laugh, and kind heart.

I will miss my dear friend who I shared many Afternoon Teas with Kate Linder plus our travel to Los Angeles to visit the sets.
Lorna was not only an inspiration but also her compassion because of my sight limitations were truly appreciated.
May the angels always watch over you.

Lorna was an amazing garden mentor, she was my garden confidant, and we shared our gardens with love. She had the deepest respect and love for plants and animals and I will deeply miss those conversations we shared over coffee and snack. Her smile was infectious, her voice was sweet but confident, her laughter came from deep within her gentle spirit and those wonderful hugs always filled our time together. I was blessed to earn Lorna's respect and her trust to work in her garden and to have the pleasure of gardening alongside her. She was a woman at heart with nature and her garden is a masterpiece of her love. I will celebrate the birth of my garden each spring, in Memory of this Pretty Lady, whom I will always deeply love.
Our hearts are with you Laurie, Jordan, Stephen & Lori, Tyler and Jaden....in sympathy and friendship, today and all the days ahead.

I’ve known Lorna for around twenty years and we shared many common interests. We went to many basket meetings together locally, in the States, and Saltspring Island. We shared a love of gardening and animals as well. We went to Morocco together and had many new experiences in a fascinating country including riding a camel and sleeping in a Bedouin tent. I’m really going to miss our visits. Marie Seabrook

What a wonderful woman (and friend) - I'll dearly miss our lunches that we had at least twice a year and the wonderful phone calls - with such a lovely and caring person.
She will undoubtedly be missed but never forgotten.
Our sincere condolences to the Anderson family.
Robin and Sue Wyss, Kate Linder
