We lost touch with John over the past many years, However, we have many fond memories of times spent with him, Carol Joni and Eric years ago. They were the first Lower Mainlanders that we met on a rainy December night when our car went head first into a Surrey ditch outside their home. John didn’t hesitate, just hitched up his pickup truck and tried to pull it out (to no avail, we had to call CAA, but we had a great conversation with John, in the rain, waiting for the truck to show up). We shared many evenings over the years, sharing meals, drinks and companionship.
John was a friendly, intelligent and creative guy and we always marvelled at his artistic abilities. Fate dealt him a lousy hand with MS and the trials and suffering that followed. We hope that he’s now found the comfort, peace and freedom from pain that he richly deserves.
