Dear Maria, Susan, Robert, Martin, and Extended Family,
I extend my sympathy to you and yours on the loss of Tante Annie. Although it has been years since I have seen any of you, looking at her photo, I felt warmth from my childhood memories of time spent with Tante Annie, Oom Martin and you, their children. Having lost both my parents (your Oom Koos and Tante Maartje), I know the extreme sense of loss that can be felt when both your parents, their generation, is lost to you. You can no longer just pickup the phone to ask a question or share a special moment. You can have questions that you wish you had thought to ask while they were still alive. These feelings of loss will likely never completely disappear; but the memories of special times, comforting words, and love-filled moments can live on in your heart.
Wishing you all my sincere condolences. Heaven has another angel and I know she will be watching over you and yours. Take care.

It was with sadness I read of Anne,s passing . Both she & Martin were loved & respected in the Kelowna Free Methodist church which they attended for many years.Martin, for playing the organ, & Anne ‘s many contributions to sewing projects she was so skilled at. Anne was one of the faithful from the church who volunteered Sunday morning taking patients to the chapel service at the Kelowna General Hospital. I treasure Anne & Martin,s friendship, & have many fond memories of them both. Anne was a lady; & will be remembered with love & respect not only by family but friends. Condolences to each family member. Alice Sackmann, Kelowna

I am very sorry to hear of Grandma’s passing. I have very fond memories from my childhood when we lived with her and Grandpa in Kelowna. Childhood memories can be so strong, I remember exactly how she sounded when she spoke to me, her laugh, her knitting. It’s comforting to know that she will always be there in my memory.
